Cake Decorating and High Tea

Using only fresh and natural ingredients Carla (Owner of Bow and Daisy Bakery) will teach you how to make beautiful as well as delicious cakes at home.
Carla will decorate some 'Naked Cakes' featuring chocolate drizzle, meringue kisses, candied nuts or fruit, chocolate bark and fresh flowers from her garden.
You will create your own cupcake creations using techniques that will be taught in the class including baking, piping and decorating. Cupcakes include;

Butchery & Knife Skills Class

Award winning butcher, Chris Luxton, from Gordon and Luxton Gourmet Butchers, will teach you how to buy and handle the best cuts of meat. You will learn essential knife skills and butchery techniques as well as a couple of fantastic marinades that will have your family coming back for more.

You will be practicing how to bone a whole chicken and learn a variety of techniques for the different cuts such as stuffed thigh parcels and rolled and stuffed breast.

Chris will teach you how to dissect a lamb leg into individual primals, learn how to prepare a Frenched shank and practice rolling and tying techniques with twine.

Learn the art of sausage making - mincing the ingredients, filling the casings and tying them like a professional.

The 4 hour class includes a meal with a glass of wine and take home packs of meat.

In the grand scheme of things, we don't really expect that Australia's measly 200 or so years of history can compete with the millennia that Europe boasts, especially when it comes to wine. You might be surprised to find out, then, that Australia has the oldest-known Shiraz vines in the world. And we'll show you the wine that they can produce! 

In the wine world, South Africa is known, above all, as the country that engineered its own grape and pioneered its own wine: Pinotage. They also produce tons of Chenin Blanc and some good 'international varieties'as well. We'll take a look.
